Coyote

Hello (:

The past few days have been really draining cos of endless meetings and feeling pretty bummed cos a good friend is stuck in an emotional quagmire. I really cannot wait for all the meetings and school-related things to come to an end at the end of next week so that I can finally just do my own things.

In the mean time, here're two (badly taken) photographs of our starter and dessert at Coyote, which was actually great (: I didn't take photos of the mains cos it was evidently too dark and I couldn't get a good shot. I really think that having good food with people who matter really help to uplift one's spirits; there are few other activities that come close to providing similar temporary relief.

In any case, I shall just press on and make the best use of my time so that I can get to enjoy a little bit of hols in December! (:

Have a good weekend! (:

Chili's

Hello (:

This week has been a super busy one and I'm thankful that the weekend is here! (: Truth be told, my timetable is more packed than usual this year so I don't really get much rest in school but it's been okay cos the kids under my charge are very pleasant and they make things alright when we're together (: I am also very grateful and thankful for understanding family members, who willingly acceded to my request to dine at a place that serves dessert cos I just wanted to have something sweet to eat after a long day at school. So to our favourite hangout we went, and what a scrumptious meal we had! (: I will highly recommend Chili's to anyone who wants a big, hearty, slightly above average Tex-Mex meal! It never fails us (or at least the branch that we frequent regularly does not)! (:

Have a happy weekend! (:

Margarita's

Hello (:

The week has been going swimmingly well so far and I am just willing both my body and mind to not succumb to the teachers' curse of only falling ill during the hols cos that is the only time when we don't have to feel guilty for missing lessons! =D

We went to Margarita's over the weekend and I think we enjoyed both the food and ambience a lot (: There's something about Mexican food &/or restaurants that gives a very homely and communal feeling. Anyhow, here are some of the things that we ordered that evening:

I think the dishes are generally interesting and the dessert was by far the most exotic that I've tasted. It's supposed to be chocolate mousse but it is served with salt AND olive oil! Haha the combination is unfamiliar to me but I think it didn't taste as bizarre as I thought it would have. Heh. It's very chocolatey and rich though so I would highly recommend that you share this with others! (:

Alright that's all for now! I hope that the rest of the week will be as wonderful as the first few days! (:

Melbourne

Hello (:

I'm back from Melbourne and I can see what it is marketed as the 'most liveable city in the world' ;) It really is a pleasant country with lots of great food, energy and a dash of artsy vibe. Perhaps I was lucky to have extremely good weather during my stay in Melbourne (although I must admit that it was still chilly when the wind blew despite the sun being out in its full glory) because I managed to be out and about every day, exploring Melbourne CBD and its surrounding areas in Victoria, so I felt like I managed to make good use of my time in Melbourne, just getting sucked into the flow of things, and enjoying time spent away from work and the www.

I must admit that I had wanted to give a little commentary after each meal but after uploading the rather massive number of food photos, I decided against doing so or I will have to sacrifice 1h of my sleep. Heh. I think I made the conscientious effort to take a photo of the names of the shops/ cafes/ restaurants that we visited (except for two if I'm not wrong) hence you can actually refer to the photos to know where I went.

We went through our photos over dinner just now and my sisters exclaimed (vehemently) that I should really STOP using the date stamp because it ruins my photos =| Oh well, I'll consider removing the date stamp the next time I use my camera. Heh.

Alright enough talking, photos!

I might have left out a few other photos but I think this is the bulk of it! (: I must really thank my trusty travel companion and my long time friend for making this trip such a relaxing and enjoyable one (:

Have a good Sunday everyone! (:
