Fukuichi Japanese Dining

Hello (:

Marking season is finally over and we celebrated it by visiting Fukuichi, a Japanese restaurant located at 111 Somerset Road, which serves awesome dinner sets! (:

I didn't manage to take photos of my companions's dinner sets because I didn't want to hold them back from digging in since they had a long day at school too! I guess I'm too used to taking photos of my food before eating hence I managed to get a nice photo of the yummy set that I had! (:

Will definitely be back to try other dishes!

For now, we'll focus on wrapping up loose ends and soldier on with planning for next year! (:

Rider's Cafe

Hello (:

We're currently in the thick of marking cos it's exam season so we're really busy! I really can't wait for all these to end though! Every year we go through the same, tedious cycle and every year we just keep pushing to the end just so we can take a marking hiatus for two months before it all begins again! Such is the rhythm of my life (:

Will just feature two photos taken recently when I took two kids out for a much-needed catch-up/ talk/ chat. What's a chat session without food right! (:

I think Riders is a pleasant place to go on a weekday afternoon because it's generally quiet and you don't have to strain your ears to hear what your friend/ companion has said. We also felt very comfortable in that setting and we could talk without abandon. Am looking forward to more glorious days like that (:

Till then, I shall mark on!

DB Bistro & Oyster Bar

Hello (:

We went to DB Bistro and Oyster Bar not too long ago for a celebratory dinner and to be frank, I was surprised that it's a pretty chill-out kind of restaurant and it really captured the feeling of a 'bistro', which I like. I guess I'm not really a fan of fine dining (much as I indulge in it once in a blue moon) so I was pretty happy that DB was nothing like that (:

If you haven't already noticed by now, I have been taking all my food pics using my hp for a long time because I think it's too troublesome to lug a DSLR out, but the downside is that I don't take photos that are as nice as the past and I don't do any post-photo editing hence some of them might look raw/ underexposed, but it doesn't really matter to me cos I think the focus is on the journalling of places that I've been to to eat! (:

So here are some of the photos taken that night:

We had a filling and happy meal and we would love to go back again for more kickass burgers and fries, or perhaps try something else that tickles our fancy! (:

Alright that's all for now. Happy weekend! (:
