Jamaica Blue

Hello (:

We headed to Jamaica Blue for a quick light meal before meeting some of our kids on Youth Day and I was reminded of how wonderful it was to not have to go to work on a weekday because the eateries are quieter and I just feel more comfortable and relaxed (:

It definitely helps that there was quite a lot of natural light pouring into Jamaica Blue and that their warm beverages are really good! Will definitely head back to this place when I feel like I need a satisfying cup of coffee/tea!

Let's soldier on to the weekend!

La Nonna

Hello (:

We're immensely grateful for another long weekend because there's a tad more time to breathe, have some fun and clear work at the same time (: The few of us had a great evening out yesterday cos we had a nice dinner and then decided, on whim, to go on an adventure to Seng Kang just because we had wanted to visit some place which we have yet to go to before. When we reached Seng Kang, we decided to look for my sister's soon-to-be-ready HDB estate and we managed to find it! Heh T'was pretty fun (:

We'll be looking forward to having a blast this weekend, and what better way to kick-start the weekend by planning what to eat later? =P We'd very fresh-tasting, wholesome food at La Nonna last weekend and we both enjoyed our dishes. I realised that pesto is fast becoming one of my favourite kinds of pasta sauce cos it's not as heavy as cream yet it has more taste than simple aglio olio (: Perhaps we'll head back to La Nonna on Monday to take advantage of their awesome lunch deals =P

Alright that's all for now (: Happy weekend! (:

Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru (West Gate branch)

Hello everyone (:

Every Wednesday is a challenge because it's the most packed day of the week! So what do we usually do at the end of Wednesday? Well, treat ourselves to a great meal of course!

We had a late dinner with our friend at Ikeikemaru just now and I'm suitably impressed by the standards of their food and service! (: We will return again in the near future!

Let's press on to the (long) weekend! (:

Joo Seng Teochew Porridge

Hello everyone (:

I've been frequenting the Cheong Chin Nam stretch of eateries more often of late because of my very odd eating hours =P

I think I'm starting to like eating Teochew porridge because I get to select different dishes each time and I especially like the fermented soya bean cos it is super salty!

Here's what a typical (light) meal at Joo Seng looks like:

Am going to meet the boys at Cheong Chin Nam area later! Looking forward to eating with them, regardless of whether we end up at Joo Seng!

Happy long weekend! (:

House at Dempsey

Hello everyone! (:

I am so sorry for being MIA for the past month! =| I have been very busy with school but things have finally slowed down for a bit so I have some time to post a few photos from the recent belated birthday celebration that we had for my sister! (:

If not for its location, I think I will definitely go to House more often because it serves pretty yummy Western food! (: Shall leave you with pics of the food that we had that night!

Have a good long weekend everyone! (:

Madam Kwan's

Hello (:

I tried Madam Kwan's for the first time in KL today and I frankly think that I don't have what it takes to truly enjoy spicy food! Haha But I liked my nasi lemak and the veggies that we shared so I'm happy to have eaten at Madam Kwan's. Gotta thank one of my kids for the recommendation! (: If you love spicy food or if you want to try some Malaysian food in KL, you can always go to Madam Kwan's (: It might not be the best in KL but I think it's good enough (for me at least!) (:

Thank you for the special treat! The girls and I enjoyed our food (:

Shall get ready for the competition over the next few days! Have a great week ahead! (:

Miam Miam

Hello! (:

We went to Miam Miam not too long ago to try out their much-raved about desserts and other normal food and we're happy to say that the dishes we ordered lived up to our expectations (: We chose a mix of their "featured dishes" as well as those that tickled our fancy and I think we'll go back again in the near future to try other dishes! Personally, I loved the way they did their french toast and I dare say it's one of the better ones I've had in Sg! (:

It gets pretty crowded during meal times so you might want to go just before the crowd comes or visit at odd times of the day so that you won't have to queue for a long time to get a table! (:

Happy weekend! (:
